1/2 white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup shortening
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
2 cup flour
1/2 cup coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, egg & vanilla. Add dry ingredients. form into balls size of a walnut. Dip top half into water, then sugar. Put on cookie sheet and bake at 425 for 8-10 min. (Mom baked these at lower heat because she thought 425º was too hot. Use your own judgement with your oven.)
