2 tbsp butter or margarine
1/4 c corn starch
3/4 c sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 c milk
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla

Fruit Topping - Cut orange slices into smaller pieces and chill.

Directions:
Directions:
Heat 1-1/2 cups of milk and the margarine to nearly boiling. Blend the sugar, corn starch, salt and egg yolks with the other 1/2 cup of milk. Stir these ingredients into the heating milk. Continue stirring until thickened. Add vanilla and pour into a glass container. Chill the pudding. Serve with cut oranges.

This was a dessert served every year at Christmas dinner at Grandma Gingrich's house. She said her mother also served it each year.
