3 c. sugar
1 c. light cream
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Melt 1 cup sugar in a heavy skillet over low heat. Stir constantly, cook until sugar is melted and light caramel colored.
Add remaining sugar and cream in hot sugar. Cook to firm ball stage (246º). Stir constantly. Remove from hear and add baking soda and stir vigorously. Add butter and cool 10 minutes. Add vanilla and beat until mixture is thick and loses shimmer. Blend in nuts and spread in a greased 9" x 12" pan. Cook and cut in squares.
