1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. miniature semisweet chocolate chips

1 box yellow cake mix
1 1/3 c. water
1/3 c. vegetable oil
3 eggs

Directions:
Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. Beat the butter, white sugar and brown sugar with mixer in large bowl until smooth. Add 1 egg and the vanilla extract and beat until combined. Mix in the flour mixture until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Form the dough into tablespoon sized balls; place on baking sheet and freeze until firm.

Preheat oven to 350º. Beat three eggs in large bowl with mixer. Add the cake mix, water and oil. Mix until all combined then spoon into prepared cupcake liners filling each 2/3 full. Place a frozen cookie dough ball on the top center of each cupcake.

Bake in oven until toothpick inserted into the cake portion of the cupcake (not the cookie dough portion) comes clean, about 20 minutes. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes before removing from pan then allow to cool completely on wire rack.

Can also use frozen cookie dough!
