Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
Melt ¾ cup shortening (Cisco, etc)
Let cool then add 1 cup sugar and ¼ cup green label Molasses (dark)
1 egg, beat well
Add 2 cups flour
½ teaspoon cloves and ginger
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt

Directions:

Mix well. Chill for 1 hour, form balls (1 inch), roll in sugar, place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
