3 cups granulated sugar
1/4 cup light cream (half and half)
2/3 cups water
1/4 teaspoon salt

Mix together well. Place on stove cover.
When candy boils up remove cover and cook to 350 degrees-360 degrees. Do not stir.
Pour onto greased marble slab and add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
As soon as cool enough to handle pull (two people) until it is white. Twist and cut into small pieces and place in a metal can cover with wax paper and cover. Allow several days to cream.

Good when chewy right after you finish pulling the candy. Once it is put into the can they will be become creamy, melt in your mouth candy.
You could separate and place a small amount of oils of peppermint or spearmint as you pull. I would try a very small amount the first time to see if you would just rather have the cream candy without additional oils.
