5 1/2 c all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 c butter, softened
3 c white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract

My Go To Butter cream Icing Recipe Is:
1 c soft butter
3 c powdered sugar
2 tbls heavy whipping cream (just add to desired consistency)
1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 375° F. In one bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll the dough into balls, teaspoonful size. Place on un-greased cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden. Leave on pan for a couple minutes before putting on wire rack. Cool completely before icing.
