1 c. cream,
1 c. sugar,
1 egg,
2 tsp. baking powder,
1 tsp. soda,
1 tbsp. lard,
Abt. 3 c. flour,
Any kind of flavoring.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together to make a fairly thick dough. Roll out 1/8" thick and use cookie cutters to shape dough. Bake in 350º oven for abt. 10 minutes. Let cool. Frost and add sprinkles.

Another gem from mom's recipe box. This is Grandma Reich's cookie recipe. I remember coming to Grandma's house in Ashley after school before the Christmas holidays with her table and her pull-out cupboard top filled with these cookies ready to be frosted and sprinkled. This is a unique cookie and I thought the recipe was lost to me forever until I looked through mom's recipe box.
