1 c. marg.
3/4 c. cocoa
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 t. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
nonpareil candies( chocolate circles with dot sprinkles)

Preheat oven to 375. Melt marg. Cool and pour into bowl. Add cocoa, sugar, eggs, and vanilla and beat together. Add flour and rest of ing. Wet hands and form into balls. Bake for 8 min. for chewy cookie and 10 min. for crispier cookie. Be sure to rotate pans in middle. As soon as you take cookies out of oven, put a nonpareil candy in center of cookies, pressing down slightly.

For slightly healthier version, use 3/4 c. oil instead of marg., just 1 1/2 c. sugar and whole wheat pastry flour. Oil makes cookies crunchier and marg. makes it chewier.
