1 1/2 Cups Confectioner’s Sugar
1 cup soft Butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
2 1/2 cups Flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar and butter. Add egg, mix thoroughly.
Stir dry ingredients together and blend into sugar mixture.
Divide dough in half. Separate one half into several parts and color each part with food coloring. (may need to refrigerate before rolling)
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Roll plain dough 1/4in. thick on lightly floured cloth covered board. Cut with cookie cutter shapes. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Roll out colored dough and cut out different shaped pieces to fit on top of each plain cookie. Bake 7 to 8 minutes or until delicately golden.
