2-1/4 C flour
1 t baking soda
1 C butter (unsalted), softened
1/4 C sugar
1/4 C light brown sugar, firmed packed
1 t vanilla
1 pkg. vanilla pudding mix, instant (4-serving size)
(do not use sugar free pudding mix)
2 eggs
1 pkg. (12 oz.) semi-sweet, chocolate chips
1 C chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

1. In a bowl, mix flour with baking soda.

2. In a larger bowl, combine butter, sugars, vanilla, & pudding mix until mixture is smooth/creamy.

3. Stir eggs into pudding mixture until thoroughly mixed.

4. Gradually stir in flour mixture.

5. Stir in chocolate chips & nuts. Batter will be stiff.

6. Drops by rounded teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet (2” apart). Flatten each just a little.

7. Bake at 375 degrees, 8-10 minutes. Do not over-bake.

8. Makes 6-7 dozen.

2. white chips, lemon pudding, & cashews,
3. butterscotch chips, banana cream pudding, & pecans,
4. white chips, coconut cream pudding, & pistachios,
5. white chips, cheesecake pudding, & almonds
6. butterscotch chips, pumpkin spice pudding, & walnuts

This is my go-to cookie recipe found in a magazine at Suzie’s Beauty Salon in 1982.
