1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Bring butter, sugar and buttermilk to a boil in a heavy medium sized pan. Take off heat and add baking soda and vanilla, stir well. Serve while hot.

*Syrup will foam up when baking soda is added so make sure sauce pan is deep enough.
