1 cup veg shortening, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup sugar, 2 eggs, 2 tsp vanilla, 1 cup old fashioned oats, 2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking powder,1 tsp salt

Directions:
preheat oven to 375. lightly grease cookie sheets. cream shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. add eggs and vanilla; beat well. add oats. stir together flour, baking soda and powder, and salt. add to wet mixture, mix well. drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheets. bake 10 to 12 min.
