Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Loney was our next door neighbor when I was in high school. We came to Lampasas from Del Rio where we had learned to make enchiladas (a really new dish to Texans in the 50's). We taught her to make enchiladas and she taught us to make the candy. Mama kept this candy in fridge after Christmas and doled it out one at the time till Valentine. And we had enchiladas for every special occasion I can remember in high school and college as there weren't any mexican restaurants in those days.
