1 c shortening
2 c brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vinegar
1/2 c milk
3 1/2 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
Directions:
Directions:
Stir together milk and vinegar; let sit for 5 minutes. In large bowl, cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and mix well. Stir in milk mixture. Combine flour, soda and salt, then add to creamed mixture and mix well. Chill for 2 hours. Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400º for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and set.
