4 eggs
1 ½ c sugar
¾ c melted butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. anise
1 tsp. black walnut flavoring
½ tsp. almond extract
1 c walnuts (chopped)
5 c flour
4 ½ tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs with sugar until well blended. Stir in melted butter, vanilla, anise and flavoring, and extract. Add the nuts. Mix together flour and baking powder. Gradually stir into mixture, blending well.
On a floured board, divide dough into equal portions. Roll each into 14 inch rope. Place ropes about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet. Bake at 325 for about 20 minutes. Let cool about 2 minutes on pan and then cut each rope diagonally in ½ to ¼ inch thick slices.
Tip slices onto cut side, lay close together in pan. Bake at 375 about 15 minutes.
Cool on pan and then store at room temperature up to 1 month or freeze.
