1/2 c. real butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 T. milk
1/2 tsp. vanila
2 c. flour
pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar; beat in egg.
Add milk in which baking soda has been dissolved.
Add the rest of the ingredients. Mix.
Chill til firm or overnight.
Roll and cut .
Makes 2 dozen cookies.
