5# pork shoulder butt or beef chuck roast
1 large onion, stew cut
1 large carrot stew cut
3 tbsp. minced garlic
3 tbsp. Hawaiian salt
2 tbsp cracked black pepper

3 cans beef broth
2 tbsp. shoyu
1/4 c. cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 c. water

Directions:
Cut carrot and onion and place on bottom of roasting pan. Rub pork or beef with Hawaiian salt, pepper and garlic and place in pan. Pour one can of been broth ino the bottom of he pan and roast in oven on 350 degrees for 2-4 hours until meat is ender and pull apart from bone with fork. More vegetables (carrots, potatoes, onions, celeery) can be added to the pan if desired, for a pot roast type of dish. Salt, pepper and oil veggies and add after meat has cooked for an hour. Remove meat and strain liquid into saucepan. Add remaining 2 cans beef broth, season with salt and shoyu to taste. Bring to boil and slowly wisk in cornstarch until gravy thickened and coat the back of a spoon. Pull chunks of meat and top with gravy.
