1 C. Butter
1 1/2 C. Powdered sugar
1 egg (beaten)
1 t. Vanilla
1/2 t. almond extract
2 1/2 C. flour
1 t. Baking soda
1 t. Cream or tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and powdered sugar together; add egg, vanilla, almond; add dry ingredients. Chill for three hours.

Use powdered sugar instead of flour to dust your surface when rolling dough out. Makes for a nicely sweet cookie. Bake cookies at 375º for 7 to 8 minutes. Decorate!

I have used wheat flour and it makes the dough a bit darker, but that is fine if you are frosting cookies & decorating them.
