One cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. light corn syrup
3/4 cup finely chopped nuts
1 package chocolate chips
Baking sheet and candy thermometer

Directions:
Directions:
Butter baking sheet. Melt butter in a 2 quart saucepan over low heat. Add sugar. Heat to boiling stirring constantly. At boiling, stir in water and corn syrup continuing to cook and stir over medium heat.

When mixture reaches 290º on candy thermometer, remove from heat. Quickly stir in nuts. Pour mixture on candy sheet and spread to about 1/4 inch.

When mixture has cooled, loosen from baking sheet. Melt chocolate chips over hot water. Spread chocolate over crunch. Cool. Break into chunks and serve.

For fancier effect, melt another bag of chocolate chips and dip chunks to cover completely with chocolate. Sprinkle a smidgen of sea salt or a bit of nut on the top before chocolate cools.
