6 egg yolks
1/2 cup corn starch
3 cups sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups canned milk
2 cups "sweet" milk (regular)
1/2 teaspoons salt
1 deep dish baked pie shell
5 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350

Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, cocoa and egg yolks. Add both milks. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick. Take off stove and add vanilla and beat.

Chill stainless steel or copper bowl in refrigerator. Add 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar and add egg whites. Beat until soft peaks form. Add sugar to taste, 1 tablespoon at a time.

Pour cooled chocolate custard into pie shell. Top with meringue, making sure it touches all sides of the pie shell. Bake until lightly browned.บบ
