1 cup lard
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
3 eggs
3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. cream of tarter
2 tsp. baking soda
vanilla
1 bag chocolate chips
nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Combine lard, sugars and eggs (one at a time). Add cream of tartar, baking soda and vanilla. Add flour one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add chocolate chips. Add nuts if desired.

Roll into one inch balls and place on cookie sheet. Pat down with a fork.

Bake in 350º oven until slightly brown.
