1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
1 egg
2 Tbsp. sweet milk
1 c. ground raisins
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour (scant)
1 1/2 cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda, 1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening with sugars. Add egg, milk, vanilla, and raisins, and mix. Sift dry ingredients and add to make a dough. Roll into patties and flatten with a fork. Bake 10 minutes at 350º.
