½ cup (1 cube) butter
½ cup white sugar
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup sweetened condensed milk
½ cup white corn syrup (Karo)
½ tsp.
Optional: nuts, chocolate

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter one min on high in microwave. Stir white suga, brown sugar , sweetened condensed milk and white corn syrup into melted butter. Cook 2 min in microwave and stir with clean spatula. Cook 2 min more in microwave and stir with clean spatula
Cook 1-2 min more (1 min. for soft, 2 min for harder. You can test for desired consistency by dropping a few drops in a cup of cold water). Add vanilla and nuts if desired and pour into well buttered 8 X 8 inch pan.
You may put chocolate to melt on top of hot caramel. When melted, spread, sprinkle with more nuts if desired.
