Cream together: 1 cup soft butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract

Add 1 3/4 cup flour

Roll dough into tablespoon size balls, flatten with glass dipped into colored sugar and bake 12 minutes @ 350º.
