1 C Shortening
1 C Brown Sugar
1 C White Sugar (regular kind)
1 Tblsp Vanilla
2 C Flour
1 Tblsp soda
2 C Oatmeal (minute cook)
2 Large Eggs
pinch of salt
1 C up Walnuts ( or M&M's or Chocolate Chips, or Raisins or what ever you desire are to reveup or to make it your own.)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together Shortening and sugars. Once creamed add your eggs Vanilla mix.

In a bowl mix all dry ingredients. (Flour, salt, baking soda and Oats)

At one Cup each add dry ingredients to your wet mixture till all mix in. Then you can Add your nut or other.
I refrigerate for 30 min to stiffen
Than I roll out Walnut size ball place one non stick
cookie sheet.
Put a little of milk in small dish. Dip fork into milk and smash down the cookie dough balls on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes or till lightly brown
take out of oven let sit to cool a little before moving
to platter
