2 c. lukewarm milk
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 cake compressed yeast
2 eggs
1/2 c. soft shortening
7 -7-1/2 c. sifted flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together lukewarm milk, sugar and salt. Crumble yeast cakes into mixture. Stir in eggs and shortening. Mix in first with spoon then with hand. Add flour in additions, using the amount necessary to make it easy to handle. Handle and knead the dough according to direction and picture. After second rising divide dough for for desert rolls and coffee cake. Round up cover, and let rise 15 minutes. So dough is easy to handle, shape dough lit rise (until light approximately 15 - 30 minutes). Bake according to directions for each type of roll or Coffee cake. Follow either recipe above - except omit 1/2 cup of milk in place of compressed yeast, soak 2 pkg. dry granular yeast in 1/2 c. luke warm water for 5 minutes without stirring. Stir well before adding to ingredients.
