1 cup butter, softened
1-1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1-1/2 cups flour
2-1/3 cups oats
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 pkg (12 oz) chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350º. Lightly grease a baking sheet and set aside.

2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, oats, baking soda and salt; mix well.

3. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop dough onto cookie sheet, about 1-1/2 inches apart.

4. Bake for 10 - 12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Transfer cookies to wire racks to cool completely.
