• 2 lbs yellow onions, chopped
• 1 cup molasses
• 1/4 cup white vinegar
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/3 tbls. crushed red pepper flakes
• 1/2 tsp. hot sauce

• Put onions and crushed red peppers in food processor
• Chop fine
• Add all ingredients to saucepan and heat until simmering, stirring constantly
• Simmer 8 hours

I have also made this in the crockpot. If needed cook down a bit after in a sauce pan.

Flo's Maine way...Serve with steamed Natural steamed hotdogs, steamed split bun, with real Mayo and mustard and topped with celery salt.

Personally, Just toss some on a bun with the hotdog.

As a safety concern...never go to Flo's on Rt 1 and ask for a plain dog. We have noticed these individuals frequently end up on the missing persons list. If you order a can of Moxie on the side you will be asked if you are not from around here are you....A truly unique experience!
