Butterscotch Pie Recipe

2 eggs, separated
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
4 heaping T. flour
2 T. vanilla extract
baked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
In a heavy saucepan, mix sugar, flour and salt. Add beaten egg yolks and milk. Cook on medium heat till pie filling is thick. Take off the heat, and stir in vanilla. Pour into baked pie crust. Using the 2 egg whites, make meringue. Spread meringue over cooled pie filling and brown under oven broiler.
