21/2 c. sugar - 21/2 c. raw spanish peanuts - 1 c. evaporated milk - 2/3 c. light corn syrup - 2 Tbsp. butter 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar - 1/4 tsp salt - 1 tsp vanilla - red food coloring.

Directions:

Combine sugar, peanuts, milk, corn syrup and butter in a pan large enough so it won't boil over. Cook to soft ball stage. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Drop by tsp. on buttered cookie sheet or muffins tins( Nana used muffin tins) Do not double receipe.

this was Grandaddy's favorite candy. Nana made all time. Good but I never made it.
