Grandma Ruth Moen`s recipe ( Orville`s favorites)
1 cup raisins (boiled)
1 teaspoon baking soda disolved
in small amount of water
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup shortening
3 cups flour
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup water from raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Grandma sent no instructions. I mixed all ingredients together and dropped by spoonful on to greased cookie sheet.
Bake in moderate oven(about 300º) for about 10-12 minutes.
