4 c. granulated sugar
2 T. cocoa powder
1 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 c. margarine
1 1/2 c. pecans, chopped

Combine sugar and cocoa in a large, thick pot.

Combine sugar and cocoa in a large, thick pot. Add evaporated milk. Cook over medium heat for 35 minutes, stirring occasionally. The candy is ready when it forms a soft ball in cool water. Remove from heat. Add vanilla extract and beat until thick. Add margarine and pecans. Pour into buttered 13 x 9 inch pan. Cut into squares while still warm.
