1 stick butter; 1/2 c shortening; 1 1/2 c sugar; 2 eggs; 3 1/2 c flour; 1 tsp soda; 1/2 tsp nutmeg; 2 T sour cream; 2 T honey

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, shortening and sugar; add eggs; beat until creamy; add sour cream and honey. Add soda, nutmeg to flour and add to butter mixture scraping bottom of bowl after each addition of flour mixture. Chill for at least 1 hour or overnight. Roll into balls about the size of walnuts, flatten with floured fork, sprinkle with sugar. Place about 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º until lightly browned. Sorry, couldn't read time on my much-used recipe!

These are soft, melt in your mouth sugar cookies. The honey/sour cream and nutmeg add wonderful flavor.
