10 double graham wafers crushed
8 soda biscuits crushed
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 cups milk
2 tbsps cornstarch
1/2 cup sugar
3 egg yolks
3 egg whites
1/2 tsp vanilla
6 tbsps sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine graham wafer and soda biscuit crumbs, 1/2 cup sugar and butter. Reserve 1 cup for topping. Put remainder of crumbs in a 9" pie plate. Bake at 350F for 5 mins. Cool. Pour milk into top of double boiler. Mix cornstarch and 1/2 cup sugar and stir into milk. Add slightly beaten egg yolks and vanilla, stirring contantly until mixture becomes thick. Pour into crust. Cool. Beat egg whites, gradually adding sugar until egg whites form stiff peaks. Pile gently over cooled pie filling. Sprinkle remaining crumbs over egg whites. Bake in 350F oven for 7-10 mins.
