4 eggs, 2 cups sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 cups flour, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 cup milk, 1/2 stick margarine.

Topping: 1 stick margarine, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup coconut, 2 unbeaten egg whites.

Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Sift together 2 cups flour, baking powder and salt. Heat 1 cup milk with 1/2 stick of margarine. Bring to boiling point. Add flour mixture and hot milk alternately until all mix is used. Bake at 375º until it tests done.

Topping: Mix topping ingredients and put on top of cake. Bake in 350º oven for 15 minutes.
