4 Sticks unsalted butter, softened
1 ½ cups granulated sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
Pinch of Kosher salt
4 c. unbleached flour

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.

Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in vanilla and a pinch of salt.Add flour until well incorporated.

Divide batter in half and flatten into disks. Wrap each disk in plastic wrap, chill approximately 2 hours.

On a floured surface roll out batter to about ½ inch thick. Cut out with desired shapes.

Bake until just barely golden around the edges. Do not over bake! Cool, remove from pans.
