Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Pie Crust:
1 2/3 c. flour
2 t. sugar
Dash of salt
1 c. vegetable shortening
4 T. ice water
OR
buy two pie crusts in the dairy case (that's what I do) (Pillsbury)
Filling:
4 c. fresh or dry-pack frozen blueberries, rinsed and drained
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 t. cinnamon
Juice of 1 lemon

Directions:
Directions:
For homemade pie crust, which is what Gramma would have done: Sift flour, sugar and salt into mixing bowl. Cut shortening into flour, gradually add ice water, mixing with pastry blender. Chill dough. Divide in 2 parts. Roll out half on floured board until thin enough to cover sides and bottom of 9 inch pie plate.
OR:
Take one pie crust out of the package and place on counter that has been floured lightly. Roll pie crust out a little. The ready made ones are too thick! Which ever one you choose to do, now place the pie crust in the bottom of a pie pan.
Filling:
Mix berries, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Place filling in pie crust. Cut vent slights in top crust and place on top of pie. Sprinkle a little sugar and cinnamon on the top crust. Or cut into lattice strips. Fold over the bottom crust and crimp to bottom crust all around with your fingers. Place on a cookie sheet in case it runs over. I like to put a collar of aluminum foil around the edge of the pie. It helps to keep it from running over and the edge from burning. Place on a cookie sheet for baking as it will probably run over. Every good pie runs over. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes. Take the pieces of pie crust that you have cut off the edges, put on a cookie sheet and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake for a few minutes...they burn easily...remove from oven and feed to the kids for a treat.

Personal Notes:
Blueberries were Grampa's favorite fruit for a pie. Gramma had a wood burning stove...I don't know how she cooked on it. I remember when she got her first electric stove, it was used and it was a big deal! Her son in law Bob Kerr worked for NSP and used his connections to get the stove for her.
