Apple Pie Bars
Mix together:
4 Cups flour, 2 cups shortning, 2 teaspoons salt, 1 cup hot water.
Divide dough in half and freeze half until firm enough to shred.
Roll out remaining dough and place in large oval pan. Crimp edges.
Mix together:
8-10, apples, peeled and sliced
2 cups sugar
6tlbs. Flour
4tlbs. Margarine
6 tlbs. Milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
Microwave apple mixture until thickened. Spread over pie dough. Shred frozen pie dough evenly over the top and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350. For 20-25 minutes. Glaze with powdered sugar glaze while still warm.
