1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. shortening
12 egg yolks
2-3 t. vanilla or lemon juice
3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
1 t. baking soda
1 t. baking powder
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugars and shortening. Add slightly beaten egg yolks and vanilla or lemon juice. Meanwhile, sift dry ingredients. add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Roll into small balls and roll in sugar; flatten with a fork or glass. Bake at 350º.

This is an old recipe to use the egg yolks left over after making an angel food cake from scratch. It was given to me as a recipe that Grandma Ora Mitchell used.
