1 cup powdered sugar
2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
1-1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
1 egg (beaten)
1 teaspoon almond or vanilla extract (or both)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together like pie crust, then add the beaten egg and flavoring. Roll into small balls the size of an olive. Then flatten and decorate with a piece of walnut or cherry. Bake at 400 degrees for 6 minutes.
