1 pkg. (9 0z) caramels (Kraft), 1 sm. can evaporated milk, 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix, 1 1/2 sticks butter or oleo 1 6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips and 1 C nuts.

Melt butter and mix with cake mix. Take 1/2 cake mix and spread into a greased 9 X 13 pan. Bake for 6 min. @ 375º Then while it is in the oven take 1/3 of evaporated milk and all of the caramels mix and melt. After melted pretty well mix 1/3 of the evaporated milk with this.(make sure you don't leave in the oven more than 6 min.. Sprinkle pan with all the chocolate chips. Then drizzle caramel over that, take the rest of the cake mix and smash it so that it is flat and even over top. Bake for 15 min.
