1 cup white sugar
1 cup butter
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup water
12 plain hershey bars (individual size)
1 cup chopped nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sugar, butter, salt and water to soft crack (270 to 290 degrees on candy thermometer. Remove from heat and add nuts and vanilla. Pour while hot into shallow pan which has been lined with one-half of the hershey bars. Place rest of the bars on top. As the candy bars melt, smooth out with knife. Chill and cut. Takes about 45 minutes to make. Makes 24 pieces.
