2 C flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp salt
1 C sugar
3/4 C shortening
1/4 C molasses
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Grease cookie sheet, Cream shortening and sugar. Blend in all other ingredients. Refrigerate for one hour. Remove from fridge and shape into about one inch balls, roll in sugar, place about 2 inches apart.
Bake at 350 for 8 minutes.
