1 pound of butter softened
2 cups of confectioners sugar
6 to 8 cups of sifted all purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter in standing mixer until light and fluffy
Add sugar gradually
Slowly add flour until stiff
Roll out half the batter on to a non-floured surface in a circle
Pat circle with hands until you have about an inch thickness
Press thumbprint around the edge of the circle
Using a knife cut into squares
Using a fork criss cross in the center of each square
Bake on brown paper bag on cookie sheet
325 for 20 to 35 minutes until lightly golden on bottom
