2 cups butter, softened
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs
3 cups flour
2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
6 cups quick oats
1 1/2 cups flaked coconut
pecans for garnish

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter with vanilla. Add sugars gradually beating until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. In separate bowl sift together flour, salt and baking soda. Stir into creamed mixture. Mix in oats and coconut. I have to do this with my hands. Drop by spoonful onto well-greased cookie sheet, press a pecan half onto each. Bake 8-10 minutes @ 350º.
