Unbaked pie shell
3 eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
1 cup sugar
6 ripe pears or 1 Large Can of pears (drained)
Cinnamon
nutmeg
butter (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Lightly sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg on the pie shell. Peal and slice about 6 pears into an unbaked pie shell (or use canned pears, drain and cut up pears into large bite size). Beat well the egg, vanilla, and sugar and pour over pears. Sprinkle a little cinnamon and nutmeg on top and dot with butter. Bake @ 350 for 1 hour.

This is my husbands favorite. In his family it was a special treat that only came out one season a year. It does taste best with fresh pears, however it is far too yummy to limit it, so canned pears work just as well and can be enjoyed all year long! ( I also buy the premade frozen pie shell- just make sure it is thawed first)
