3 cups white sugar
1 cup shortening
2 cups mashed bananas
2 cups pecans
2/3 cup buttermilk
4 egg yolks
3 cups flour
2tsp. baking soda
4 egg whites (beaten)
2 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt

Cream sugar and shortening together. Then mix all remaining ingredients. Bake at 325 for approximately 1hr. to 1 1/2 hr
