1# can fruit cocktail
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
2 cups flour
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. vanilla
1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 cup walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Drain fruit cocktail, save syrup. Cream first 4 ingredients until fluffy. Add egg and beat well. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately to creamed mixture with 1/3 cup syrup. Stir in nuts and fruit cocktail. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 12 minutes. Makes 3-1/2 dozen.
