1cup evaporated milk 1T vinegar
MIX TOGETHER AND LET STAND TILL IT SOURS 1 cup butter 1 1/2 cup sugar 2 egg yolks 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. lemon extract 5 cups sifted flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt

Cream shortening and sugar. Add yolks, soured milk and flavoring. Mix well. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well. Put in refrigerator to chill overnight. Place chilled dough on well floured counter --roll out to about 1/4 " cut with cookie cutters--place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for approx. 10 minutes. Don't let them get to brown. Wait till they cool - ice-decorate-and EAT!!!!
